        abstract = {Contemporary healthcare has been revolutionized by nuclear physics through its diverse applications in medical diagnosis, therapeutic procedures, and scientific research. The use of radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation has enabled physicians to detect diseases at early stages and provide targeted therapeutic interventions. Diagnostic imaging techniques such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), and gamma camera imaging provide detailed functional and metabolic information about organs and tissues. 
In therapeutic medicine, radiation-based techniques such as external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and radionuclide therapy are widely used in thetreatment of cancer and other disorders. Nuclear physics also plays a major role in medical research through tracer studies, molecular imaging, and drug development. Radiation safety and protection measures are essential to minimize harmful effects and ensure the safe use of radioactive materials. 
This paper presents an overview of the fundamental concepts of nuclear physics and examines its diagnostic, therapeutic, and research applications in medicine. It also highlights recent technological advancements and future developments in nuclear medicine.},
