abstract = {In an increasingly knowledge-driven and dynamic business environment, organizations must effectively leverage knowledge-based resources to sustain superior performance. This study examines the influence of knowledge management practices—knowledge sharing capacity, innovative capacity, and absorptive capacity—on organizational performance, with dynamic capability serving as a mediating mechanism and opportunity recognition acting as a moderating variable. Using a cross-sectional research design, data were collected from 257 small and medium-sized IT enterprises operating in Western India. The proposed model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modelling. The findings reveal that all three knowledge management practices have significant positive effects on dynamic capability and organizational performance. Moreover, dynamic capability partially mediates the relationships between knowledge sharing capacity, innovative capacity, absorptive capacity, and organizational performance, highlighting its critical role in transforming knowledge resources into performance outcomes. The results further demonstrate that opportunity recognition positively moderates the relationship between dynamic capability and organizational performance, strengthening the impact of adaptive capabilities under conditions of high opportunity awareness. This study contributes to knowledge-based and dynamic capability theories by offering an integrated mediated–moderated framework and provides actionable insights for managers seeking to enhance organizational performance through effective knowledge utilization and strategic adaptability.},
