        abstract = {Autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders are two different categories of immune-mediated diseases characterised by dysregulation of adaptive and innate immunity, respectively. Despite the differences in their pathogenesis, these conditions are frequently used interchangeably, leading to challenges in diagnosis and management. This review aims to provide clarity regarding the distinction, overlap, diagnostic approaches, and treatment strategies associated with both disease groups. A literature search was conducted using Google Scholar to identify relevant peer-reviewed medical review and research articles. The review compares autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders on the basis of disease characteristics, pathogenesis, differential diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions. Additionally, overlap disorders such as Behçet disease, psoriatic arthritis, and Adult-onset Still’s disease are discussed to highlight the interaction between innate and adaptive immune mechanisms. Understanding these differences is essential for accurate diagnosis, targeted therapy selection, and improved patient outcomes in clinical practice.},
