abstract = {Natural fibre composites are gaining attention due to their sustainability, biodegradability, and favorable mechanical properties. However, weak fibre-matrix interfacial bonding significantly limits their structural performance and long-term durability. This paper presents a comprehensive review of recent advances in interface treatment of natural fibre composites, focusing on chemical, physical, and biological modification techniques. The effects of these treatments on fibre morphology, surface chemistry, and compatibility with polymer matrices are critically examined. Furthermore, the influence of interface modification on mechanical, thermal, and moisture resistance properties of composites is discussed. Emerging trends, including eco-friendly treatments, nanotechnology integration, and hybrid modification approaches, are also highlighted. This review provides insight into optimizing fibre-matrix adhesion for improved composite performance in engineering applications.},
