abstract = {Although the movement towards HPV DNA screening and patient-administered self-sampling has led to enhanced coverage and sensitivity, the secondary public health issue that arises is triage overload. Transient HPV infections, which tend to resolve on their own without treatment, are being picked up like never before. The downstream effects in infrastructures where resources are limited are massive; positive cases overwhelm colposcopy facilities, making screening economically inefficient and mentally stressful for unnecessary over treatment. This research seeks to illustrate the challenges associated with the specificity of primary tests. The findings of our study reveal that without high specificity during the triage process, increased sensitivity will destabilize the entire process.},
