  • Abstract:
  • Hibiscus, specifically Hibiscus sabdariffa L., has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic and folk medicine for promoting hair health and improving scalp condition. This review thoroughly looks at the plant's chemical makeup, the different methods used to extract its oils, how it works in the body, ways to make it into effective hair products, and the standards used to evaluate its quality. The review brings together current scientific findings on how hibiscus- based hair oils can help with common hair problems like hair loss, premature graying, scalp infections, and damaged hair. It covers advanced techniques for extracting the oil, studies on how long it stays stable, and detailed methods for testing its effectiveness in real-world use. This document shows that hibiscus hair oil is a good natural substitute for synthetic hair care items, backed by strong scientific evidence, clear guidelines for making the product, and thorough quality control checks [1][2][3].
