abstract = {Waste management has become a major global challenge due to rapid urbanization, population growth, and inefficient traditional systems. Existing waste collection methods often lack proper coordination, real- time monitoring, and effective communication between authorities and citizens, resulting in environmental pollution and health hazards. This paper presents a smart waste management system that integrates Global Positioning System tracking and Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiency and sustainability. The proposed system enables real-time tracking of garbage collection vehicles, ensuring optimized routing and adherence to schedules. An Artificial Intelligence-based waste classification module assists users in proper waste segregation using image recognition techniques. A mobile application facilitates interaction between citizens and municipal authorities by providing alerts, notifications, and reporting features. Additionally, data analytics is used to analyze waste generation patterns and optimize resource allocation. The system aims to reduce operational costs, improve service efficiency, and promote environmental awareness. Overall, the proposed solution transforms conventional waste management into a proactive and intelligent system suitable for modern smart cities.},
