  • Abstract:
  • ZnO nanoparticle has been widely studied as photocatalyst. ZnO nanoparticle has greater potential due to their chemical stability, non-toxicity and high reactivity. Nanoparticles can be synthesized in many ways including Chemical Vapour deposition, Co-precipitation, Combustion, Sol-Gel, Hydrothermal, Solvothermal, Microwave Assisted and Green synthesis. In this review, some of the Top-down approach and Bottom-up approach methods for synthesis of nanoparticles and its antimicrobial assays are discussed. The purpose of the paper is to review optimum conditions required for photodegradation of industrial effluent like Dyes using ZnO nanoparticle synthesized by Green synthesis method.
