Theory of Relativity Puts a Question Mark on the Existence of Black Holes

  • The General Theory of Relativity (GTR), proposed by Albert Einstein in 1915, remains one of the most profound achievements in theoretical physics. It redefined gravity not as a force but as a manifestation of spacetime curvature caused by mass and energy. Among its most striking predictions is the existence of black holes regions of spacetime where gravity becomes so intense that nothing, not even light, can escape. However, a deeper examination of Einstein’s own equations, their boundary conditions, and the physical principles underlying relativity reveals that the theory itself may not support the physical existence of such singularities. This paper elaborates on the mathematical, physical, and philosophical inconsistencies surrounding black holes within the relativistic framework, arguing that the Theory of Relativity, when interpreted rigorously, questions rather than confirms their existence.
