The structured questionnaire was given to 400 respondents in six major metropolitan cities. Descriptive statistics like mean, median and mode was calculated using ten independent variables and one dependent variable. The results show that Fuel Cost Savings (M = 4.32) was the most important factor, followed by Environmental Concern (M = 4.18) and Total Cost of Ownership (M = 4.05). The lowest mean score was for Social Influence (M = 3.28). The results show that economic factors are the most important factor in the decision to buy an EV in India.
