  • Radiology has emerged as one of the most technologically advanced branches of modern medicine, playing a pivotal role in disease diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, big data analytics, and imaging technologies is reshaping the future of radiological practice. The integration of these innovations promises enhanced diagnostic accuracy, faster image interpretation, personalized healthcare solutions, and improved patient outcomes. Simultaneously, radiologists face challenges associated with technological adaptation, ethical concerns, data privacy, workforce transformation, and healthcare disparities. This article explores the future of radiology in clinical practice by examining emerging technologies, the growing role of AI-assisted diagnostics, the impact of precision medicine, the evolution of interventional radiology, and the changing responsibilities of radiologists in a digitally connected healthcare ecosystem. The study argues that rather than replacing radiologists, technological innovations will augment their capabilities, enabling them to become central decision-makers in multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The future of radiology lies in a synergistic relationship between human expertise and intelligent technologies, fostering more efficient, accurate, and patient-centred clinical care.
