ATTENDIX : AI Powered Attendance System

  • Attendance management is an essential task in educational institutions and organizations. Traditional attendance methods such as manual registers and signature-based systems are time-consuming, prone to errors, and susceptible to proxy attendance. To overcome these limitations, the Attendx Smart Attendance System has been developed as an automated attendance management solution based on real-time facial recognition technology. The system utilizes advanced computer vision techniques through OpenCV and Face Recognition libraries to identify registered students and automatically mark attendance during scheduled lectures. It provides a secure and efficient mechanism for attendance recording without requiring manual intervention. The application supports student registration, lecture scheduling, attendance tracking, report generation, and data management through a user-friendly graphical interface. The system is developed using Python, OpenCV, SQLite Database, and Face Recognition technology. Facial features of registered students are stored and compared with real-time webcam input to accurately identify students. Attendance records are maintained in a structured database and can be filtered by date, student, or lecture for generating reports. Attendx significantly reduces administrative workload, improves attendance accuracy, eliminates proxy attendance, and provides an efficient digital solution for educational institutions.
