abstract = {This study investigates the psychological impact of seeking online validation via social media platforms on the self-esteem of young adults. Utilizing a quantitative survey design, data was collected from a sample of the people with age categories of under 15, 15-18, 19-22 and last all above 23+ age group through a structured Google Form survey. The research evaluated variables including daily social media usage, dependence on metrics (likes, comments), and regular tendencies toward online comparison. Preliminary findings indicate a strong correlation between high dependence on online validation and diminished self-esteem scores, frequently mediated by compulsive social comparison. The report concludes with recommendations for promoting digital well-being and mindful social media consumption.},
