  • The rapid growth of digital entertainment platforms and increasing internet accessibility have significantly changed the way users discover and consume movie content. Modern audiences prefer dynamic web applications that provide real-time information about trending movies, trailers, ratings, and user feedback. This research presents the design and development of Movie Central, a responsive web-based movie trailer streaming and review platform that integrates real-time movie metadata using the TMDB API. The proposed system enables users to explore trending movie trailers, search for movies based on title and genre, and maintain a personalized watchlist of selected trailers. The application also incorporates secure user authentication mechanisms and a review system that allows users to post ratings and feedback, thereby enhancing community engagement. The frontend interface is developed using ReactJS along with HTML and SCSS to ensure responsive and interactive user experience across multiple devices. User information, reviews, and watchlist data are stored and managed using an SQL database to maintain data consistency and reliability. The system architecture follows a layered approach consisting of presentation, application, data, and external API layers. This modular design improves scalability, performance, and maintainability. By integrating real-time API communication with structured database management, Movie Central reduces the need for manual data updates while improving movie discovery efficiency. Experimental evaluation and user testing demonstrate that the platform provides fast content loading, intuitive navigation, and enhanced user satisfaction compared to traditional static movie websites. The project highlights the importance of combining modern web technologies, responsive design principles, and external data integration to develop scalable entertainment platforms. Future enhancements include artificial intelligence-based recommendation systems, sentiment analysis of user reviews, and mobile application deployment to further improve personalization and accessibility.
