  • Abstract:
  • The increasing exposure of children to inappropriate online content, excessive screen time, and cyber threats has created a need for intelligent parental control solutions. This paper presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of a Real-Time Parental Control and Website Blocking System. The proposed system enables parents to monitor children's online activities, block harmful websites, enforce screen-time restrictions, and generate activity reports. The system consists of a browser monitoring module, website filtering engine, administrative dashboard, and centralized database. Real-time URL inspection, blacklist/whitelist management, keyword filtering, and usage analytics are integrated to provide comprehensive digital safety. The architecture uses a React.js frontend, Node.js backend, browser extension/service agent, and MySQL database. The implemented system demonstrates effective content filtering, low response latency, and improved parental supervision capabilities.
