abstract = {The Internal Mark Allocation System is designed to automate and streamline the process of managing and evaluating internal assessment marks in educational institutions. Traditional methods of recording, calculating, and maintaining student marks are often manual, time-consuming, and highly prone to human errors, which can lead to inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and a lack of transparency in the evaluation process. This system provides a centralized and user-friendly digital platform where faculty members can efficiently enter, update, and manage marks for various academic components such as assignments, unit tests, attendance, seminars, and practical examinations. It ensures that all marks are systematically stored and processed, eliminating the need for manual calculations and paperwork. The system automatically computes the total internal marks based on predefined criteria, weightage, and institutional policies, thereby ensuring accuracy, consistency, and fairness in student evaluation. Furthermore, the system incorporates a secure role-based access mechanism that allows administrators, faculty, and students to interact with the platform according to their permissions. Administrators can manage user roles, subjects, and evaluation structures; faculty can handle mark entry and updates; and students can view their internal marks and performance details, thereby promoting transparency and accountability. The system also supports real-time data updates, enabling instant reflection of changes and reducing delays in information access. In addition, it provides comprehensive features such as report generation, data analysis, and performance tracking, which help educators monitor student progress, identify strengths and weaknesses, and make informed academic decisions. By digitizing the entire internal mark allocation process, the system significantly reduces administrative workload, minimizes errors, enhances data security, and improves overall efficiency.
