  • Abstract:
  • Herbal medicines are widely utilized worldwide due to their therapeutic benefits and natural origin. However, variations in raw materials, processing methods, and manufacturing practices may significantly influence product quality and consistency. The present study was designed to evaluate the standardization status and quality attributes of selected marketed herbal products using organoleptic, physicochemical, phytochemical, microbiological, and analytical parameters. Various quality-control tests including moisture content, ash values, extractive values, phytochemical screening, chromatographic fingerprinting, microbial limit testing, and heavy metal analysis were performed. Comparative evaluation revealed acceptable quality characteristics in the investigated products, although minor inter-brand variations were observed. The study highlights the importance of standardization and comprehensive quality assessment for ensuring the safety, efficacy, and consistency of herbal medicines.
