Reviewed article: Assertiveness Training

  • Background: Assertiveness demonstrated in any human community is a factor of social and cultural practices at the time of inquiry. For example, in 2019 there are global public discussions about controversial topics. Within families, children are not always encouraged to develop assertiveness skills and must usually accept and obey rulings by their parents. Today, however outspoken children can legally input to decisions about their lives from the age of sixteen. During the second half of the 20th century, assertiveness was increasingly singled out as a behavioral skill taught by many personal development experts, behavior therapists, and cognitive behavioral therapies. Assertiveness is often linked to self-esteem A very important personal quality is able to advocate for yourself, your own positions, to achieve objectives, to overcome difficulties, to be determined, but without harming the rights of others and to be able to control the aggressive impulses. The concept, which expresses these personal characteristics is called 'assertiveness'. Assertiveness is a part of the personal potential. It is a pre-requite for self - actualization. The goal we set in this paper is to explore assertiveness skills, behavior, characteristics, assertive communication, assertive training and how to become more assertive. Objectives: the aims and objectives were analyzed on the basis of study which has researcher was done previous study. In this the researcher was to change their characters according to the situation. Method: the study was done in non-experimental correlation study or descriptive study can be used for analysis of the different variable. In this the researcher can use such a method which can be analyzed ambivert with other variable.
