abstract = {The integration of graphic novels into English Language Teaching (ELT) has emerged as a significant pedagogical development in response to evolving multimodal literacy practices in modern education systems worldwide. Graphic novels, which combine sequential visual art with written narrative, offer learners an engaging and cognitively supportive medium for language acquisition. This paper explores the role of graphic novels in enhancing English language learning among children and young learners, with emphasis on vocabulary development, reading comprehension, inferential thinking, motivation, critical literacy, sociocultural awareness and creative production. Drawing on theoretical frameworks such as Dual Coding Theory, constructivism and sociocultural theory, the study examines how visual-textual integration facilitates deeper understanding and sustained engagement in diverse classroom environments. The paper also discusses pedagogical applications, methodological considerations, digital integration, teacher mediation and future technological directions. It concludes that graphic novels are powerful instructional tools aligned with contemporary multimodal and learner-centered education.},
