  • Abstract:
  • A paradigm shift in Indian education was brought about by the National Education Policy (NEP), established in 2020, and aims to modernize the country's long-standing teaching and learning methods. This study examines the NEP's revolutionary effects on education, emphasizing pedagogy and curriculum. The study examines the NEP's emphasis on experiential and skill-based education as a break from rote learning to increase student engagement, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The policy's multidisciplinary approach additionally motivates students to investigate other areas, bridging disciplinary divides and fostering a deeper grasp of difficult realities. Another important component of the NEP is the incorporation of technology, which acknowledges its contribution to the development of an engaging and open learning environment. The study evaluates the potential of educational technology to enhance pedagogy, provide personalized learning experiences, and promote digital literacy among students. Furthermore, the NEP's emphasis on early childhood education and inclusive practices seeks to lay a strong foundation for learners and bridge educational disparities. The research delves into the policy's implications for teacher training and support, as educators play a pivotal role in translating the NEP's vision into transformative classroom practices. To examine the effectiveness of the NEP, this study employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys, interviews, and document analysis are conducted to gather insights from educators, students, and policymakers, evaluating their perspectives on the policy's implementation and its impact on education. The findings reveal the potential of the NEP to reshape the education landscape by fostering a learner-centric and skill-oriented system. However, challenges in infrastructure, teacher capacity building, and policy implementation emerge as critical areas for consideration. In conclusion, the exploration of the transformative implications of the NEP sheds light on its potential to revolutionize education in India. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders, guiding future initiatives to harness the NEP's transformative power and create an inclusive and future-ready education system.
