The secondary data has been collected from the annual reports of both banks. Also, primary data has been collected through a structured questionnaire to evaluate customer perception regarding financial strength, stability, and overall performance. This study identifies profitability growth, risk efficiency, and stability as independent variables impacting the overall financial performance, which is considered the dependent variable. On the other hand, HDFC bank shows better performance in terms of operational efficiency, lower NPAs, and regular profitability showing effective management practices.
