abstract = {The increasing penetration of renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind power has introduced significant challenges in maintaining stable and reliable microgrid operation due to their intermittent nature. This study proposes an intelligent energy management framework for enhancing microgrid stability through excess renewable power storage and adaptive Distributed Energy Resource (DER) dispatch. The proposed framework is implemented in the MATLAB/Simulink environment by integrating photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), distributed generators (DGs), and utility grid support under the supervision of an intelligent Energy Management Controller (EMC). The controller performs real-time renewable energy assessment, intelligent battery charging and discharging, adaptive DER dispatch, and coordinated power balancing to optimize energy utilization and improve system performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed framework increases renewable energy utilization from 78.4% to 93.7%, reduces operational cost from $128.6/day to $101.8/day, decreases power loss from 8.4 kW to 4.1 kW, minimizes voltage deviation from 7.6 V to 2.9 V and frequency deviation from ±0.32 Hz to ±0.08 Hz, and improves the microgrid stability index from 90.8% to 98.1%, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing energy efficiency, operational reliability, and sustainable microgrid performance.},
