abstract = {Agentic artificial intelligence (AI) — systems that autonomously plan, decide, and execute multi-step tasks with limited human oversight — is emerging as the successor to generative AI in enterprise technology strategy. This paper examines how agentic AI is reshaping corporate strategy for Indian businesses, tracing its evolution from generative systems and applying seven established strategy frameworks — Porter's Five Forces, the Resource-Based View, VRIO, Dynamic Capability Theory, Value Chain Analysis, the McKinsey 7S Model, and the Business Model Canvas — to assess its strategic implications. Using a qualitative, secondary-data methodology grounded in consulting reports, company disclosures, and academic and practitioner literature, the study analyses ten firms across technology, retail, banking, and consulting — including Microsoft, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance Retail, Tata Digital, Flipkart, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Accenture, and Deloitte — to identify how agentic AI is reconfiguring competitive positioning, value chains, and organisational capabilities. The findings indicate that agentic AI yields sustainable advantage only when combined with proprietary data, governance maturity, and workforce reskilling; absent these, the technology risks rapid commoditisation and competitive convergence. The paper concludes with managerial implications and a phased adoption framework for Indian firms, together with directions for future research.},
