abstract = {In the contemporary dynamic digital world, the use of data to promote innovation acts as a highly effective method of solving significant sustainability problems existing around the globe. More precisely, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have become highly valuable tools for enhancing decision-making processes, improving the efficiency of resource management, and ensuring environmental sustainability. The aim of this paper is to explore the impact of Big Data and AI on sustainability in various spheres such as energy, agriculture, transport, and urban planning. Through the analysis of huge amounts of data, these two tools allow the discovery of patterns and the gaining of insights that can be used for the optimization of processes, waste reduction, and encouragement of ecological behavior. Moreover, the paper examines the use of AI for predicting future events, climate change forecasting, and system development from the perspective of sustainability. Meanwhile, ethical aspects, challenges, and the importance of innovations that should cover everybody and work for everyone are highlighted. By means of examining specific examples, theories, and perspectives, the paper shows how Big Data and AI impact sustainability and what new possibilities appear because of their combination.},
