abstract = {—Background: Male reproductive health is closely related to the proper nourishment of Shukra Dhatu. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of Pathya Ahara and Vihara in maintaining Dhatu Poshana and preventing Shukra Kshaya.
Objective: To review the role of Pathya and Apathya in the prevention and management of Shukra Kshaya.
Materials and Methods: A narrative review was carried out using Ayurvedic samhita texts, including Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, and Kashyapa Samhita, along with relevant published literature.
Results: The review suggests that Pathya Ahara and Vihara support Dhatu Poshana and preserve Shukra Dhatu, whereas Apathya practices contribute to Shukra Kshaya. Appropriate dietary and lifestyle measures may help maintain reproductive health.
Conclusion: Adherence to Pathya Ahara and Vihara forms a cornerstone in the prevention and management of Shukra Kshaya and may provide a holistic approach to improving male reproductive health.},
