abstract = {To guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data and systems involved, a number of security factors must be taken into account while deploying Digital Twins (DTs) in the cloud. Data security, identity and access management (IAM), network security, application security, physical security, operational security, compliance and regulatory requirements, supply chain security, integration security, and end-user device security are the main cloud security factors to be taken into account when deploying digital twins. A multifaceted security strategy that addresses data protection, network security, identity management, application security, and operational procedures is necessary for deploying digital twins in the cloud. Organisations can reduce risks and guarantee the safe implementation and functioning of Digital Twins in the cloud environment by taking these factors into account. Furthermore, this multifaceted strategy improves security while also boosting the general efficacy and efficiency of deployments of digital twins. In this work, we aim to simulate real-world scenarios in order to investigate and assess the efficacy of different cloud security mechanisms for safeguarding digital twins. By creating quantitative benchmarks to assess and enhance system security, the research conducted here is anticipated to improve security protocols for Digital Twins in cloud environments. Additionally, it will offer useful deployment techniques, advancing both theoretical understanding and practical solutions.},
