        abstract = {This report entitled as “ASSESSMENT OF GREEN BUILDINGS” gives a critical review of the topic of green buildings. Status of green buildings in India is also highlighted in this study. A comparison of green and conventional materials and buildings was done in this study. A questionnaire surveys regarding green buildings were conducted, one on the green buildings in India and second on the mutual importance of the greenness factors. An overview about Green Buildings and their concepts, need to plan and design, functional requirements of green buildings were discussed. Indian status of Green Buildings and solutions for its enhancement were also discussed herein. Rating system on working of Green Buildings in India and the criteria of rating were also discussed. In this report effort was made to encircle almost all the aspects of Green Buildings and a brief idea of them all was provided.},
