  • Abstract:
  • An experimental investigation was carried out to study the fracture behavior of normal and high strength plain concrete geometrically similar beams subjected to three point bending. In this investigation to study the effect of stress intensity factor and Fracture energy of concrete beams of various sizes with constant position of notch from center of beam and notch depth ratios. It was found that the failure stresses decreases with increasing the beam sizes that indicates the size effect exist in the mixed mode crack propagation in plain concrete and also obtain that stress intensity factor and fracture energy increases with the increasing of beam sizes.
