  • Abstract:
  • he new complex, have been synthesized and characterized. The metal complex have been characterized by elemental analysis, UV, IR, conductivity measurements, EPR and magnetic studies. The interaction of complex with CT-DNA was investigated by carrying out UV- vis absorption spectrum and fluorescence ethidium bromide displacement experiment. The DNA-binding constants Kb of complex were calculated to be 2.1059×104 M-1. The result indicated that these complexe interact with CT-DNA through intercalative mode. Competitive studies with ethidium bromide (EB) further showed that the complexes bind to DNA probably via intercalation. The anti-microbial activities and MTT-Assy studies have also been studied. In anti-microbial activity the complex showed good anti-microbial activity higher in gram positive, gram negative bacteria and fungi. The structure of the present complex has been optimized using the DFT/ B3LYP/6-31G(d,p)/LANL2DZ level of theory and cyclic voltametric studies, Molecular docking analysis was carried out.
