Abstract
Workplace stress can be a serious issue for both the company and its employees, particularly among female teachers. The best ways to prevent stress are good management and a productive workplace. The management should be aware of any existing stress among the workforce and put the appropriate stress reduction measures in place. People may experience work-related stress as a reaction to expectations and pressures at work that are out of line with their knowledge and skills and that test their capacity for adjustment. All classes of Indian women have chosen careers that are stressful in every aspect of their lives. Women now have much greater access to educational opportunities than they did a few years ago, particularly in urban areas. The study makes an effort to pinpoint the symptoms of stress experienced by the women teachers working in both the public and private UG and PG educational institutions. The findings state that the respondents experience physical, psychological and behavioural symptoms at workplace.
