Abstract
The advent of new media in India especially the social media has changed the entire dynamics. Technology which was earlier limited to select developed countries or rich, became easily available and accessible to everyone. The ease of availability and quicker adaptation to technologies has led to various debates. There has been frequent difference of opinion between the tech companies and the state regarding it's role and function in the democracies. Issues concerning identity politics, virtualization, and emergence of newer issues are discussed frequently. This article raises some pertinent questions regarding its existentialist concerns and focuses on the issues.
