Abstract
This research paper explores the relationship between Haryanvi songs and Haryanvi culture. Haryana, a state in northern India, has a rich cultural heritage, expressed through forms of music and dance. Haryanvi songs have become popular in recent years, not only in Haryana but also in other parts of India and abroad. The article delves into the history and characteristics of Haryanvi songs, including their role in reflecting and shaping Haryana's cultural identity. The study examines the popularity of Haryanvi songs among the youth as well as the impact of modern technology and social media on the spread of Haryanvi songs. The research article uses a mixed methods approach, including qualitative and quantitative research methods, to collect data. Findings show that Haryanvi songs form an important aspect of the cultural identity of Haryana and play a vital role in promoting cultural values and conveying social messages among the youth. However, the impact of technology and social media on Haryanvi songs has raised concerns about the dilution of traditional cultural elements and the homogenization of musical genres.
