  • Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels, affecting millions worldwide. With the rising prevalence of this condition, there is a growing interest in exploring natural remedies with antidiabetic properties. One such plant, Aspidium cicutarium (Kukkutnakhi), has garnered attention for its traditional use in treating various ailments. This comprehensive review aims to evaluate the existing scientific evidence on the antidiabetic potential of Aspidium cicutarium and its underlying mechanisms of action. The article delves into the plant's taxonomic classification, distribution, pharmacological activities, and experimental findings from studies conducted on its extracts.
