Abstract:
The main focus of the present paper is to examine the evolution process of Insurance companies in India in general and Telugu Speaking countries in particular. In the process of evolution of Insurance companies, the role of agent’s performance plays crucial role. Therefore, the paper tries to understand different types of Insurance companies and their internal policy of governance pertaining to the agents and their proactive role as it is called performance is assessed by adopting case study method. Selected companies and their performances are presented.
