  • Abstract:
  • A traditional skill, jute thread embroidery uses jute threads to make elaborate and ornamental motifs on jute fabric. By encouraging the use of natural and biodegradable materials, this eco-friendly craft minimises waste and its negative effects on the environment. The jute plant, a rain-fed crop that needs little in the way of fertiliser and pesticides, yields the jute threads. The jute threads are hand-stitched onto the jute fabric during the embroidery process, producing a distinctive and textured design. A wide range of goods, such as apparel, accessories, and home décor pieces, may be made using the flexible technique of jute thread embroidery. The craft is a demanding and fulfilling hobby that calls for talent, perseverance, and attention to detail. The advantages and relevance of jute thread embroidery are emphasised in this abstract, along with its sustainability, distinctiveness, and cultural value. Although many cultures still employ traditional needlework techniques, the art form is gradually vanishing as machine-made embroidery becomes more and more popular. By investigating novel materials and methods that can improve the aesthetic and cultural significance of embroidered fabrics, this study aims to maintain traditional craftsmanship.
