  • Abstract:
  • The present paper deals with a linear stability problem of Rayleigh-Bénard convection in a finitelyconducting Newtonian fluid with heat source confined between two horizontal surfaces. Heat sourceparameter, Thermo rheological parameter and the Chandrasekhar number influence the onset of convection. Itis found that the effect of applied magnetic field is to stabilize the system whereas the effect of internal heatsource and variable viscosity is to destabilize the system.
