        abstract = {The present study uses survey method to analyse the role of mobile application in developing communication skills. In the past decade, various studies were conducted on MALL and mobile learning. The study also analyses the various multimodal tools used in the language learning. Technology has given arises to various teaching methods and learning practices and incorporating the multimodal in teaching results in effective learning. In 21st century, pandemic has to be considered as a boon, which facilitates development of remote learning and digital learning. Various websites, applications utilise the pandemic situation and has developed Language based application. Language based application plays an immense role in developing communication skills. Many applications have emerged during the pandemic to facilitate effective learning at home. These applications have promoted additional learning outside the classroom environment. Integration of these application in language learning will facilitate better communication skill among the learners.},
