  • Abstract:
  • The evolution of environmental law has played a pivotal role in shaping global justice by establishing frameworks to protect natural resources and ensure equitable distribution of environmental benefits and burdens. Beginning with early initiatives like the Stockholm Declaration of 1972, which highlighted the need for international cooperation in environmental preservation, environmental law has progressively developed into a robust body of regulations addressing diverse issues such as wildlife protection, pollution control, and sustainable development. These legal frameworks have significantly contributed to raising awareness, promoting accountability, and enabling the enforcement of environmental rights across the globe. Moreover, the intersection of environmental law with human rights has underscored the importance of environmental justice, particularly for marginalized communities disproportionately affected by environmental degradation. As environmental challenges continue to evolve, the ongoing refinement of environmental law is essential for advancing global justice and fostering a sustainable future.
