Rodents and primates are the hosts for Mpox, a zoonosis (a virus transmitted from animals to people) with symptoms like smallpox but less severe. When the virus was initially identified in monkeys in a Danish laboratory in 1958, the term “monkeypox” was coined [1]. The etiological agent of monkeypox, a zoonotic illness that can be transmitted to humans, is the monkeypox virus, which is a member of the Orthopoxvirus genus that was originally mainly present in Central and West Africa}, keywords = {}, month = {December}, }
