Recent advances in phytochemistry, pharmacology, and biotechnology have enabled the identification and characterization of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, paving the way for the development of evidence-based phytotherapies. The integration of medicinal plants with modern medicine has yielded promising results, particularly in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, mental health disorders, liver ailments and infectious diseases.
