  • Abstract:
  • Introduction: Flat warts, also known as juvenile warts, are benign, smooth, small skin growths primarily caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, commonly affecting children and adolescents. They typically appear on the face and hands and are characterized by a flat, smooth surface. Despite their benign nature, these warts may cause cosmetic concerns and discomfort. Treatment options vary, with homoeopathic remedies offering a non-invasive alternative. Materials and Methods: The patient, Miss XX, an 8-year-old girl, presented with flat, brownish-black warts around both eyes and cheeks, persisting for one year. No history of external treatments was reported. The homoeopathic approach involved administering a single dose of Dulcamara 200C, followed by Sac Lac and B. Pills as supportive treatments. The treatment was monitored with regular follow-ups. Results: The flat warts on the cheeks and around the eyes reduced in size, and the skin returned to a normal appearance. No recurrence of warts was observed during the follow-up period. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the effectiveness of Dulcamara 200C in treating juvenile flat warts, highlighting the potential of homeopathic medicine for skin conditions. The patient's complete recovery without external applications supports the use of individualized, potentized remedies in managing warts.
