  • Abstract:
  • The development of better and efficient methods of consuming less and/or wasting little resource materials is becoming more important. In this study, Thermal pyrolysis of waste tires has been studied in a rotating kiln reactor under nitrogen atmosphere. The pyrolysis temperature was varied in a wide range to investigate the effect of temperature on pyrolysis products. The pyrolytic char during each pyrolysis process was reported in different pyrolysis times. However, by raising the temperature of the pyrolysis process, the yield of produced char decreased. Pyrolytic waste tyre carbon black residue and commercial grade activated carbon were characterized and evaluated.
