  • Abstract:
  • The fundamental ideas of Ayurveda are known as dosa dhatu mala. The three primary dosa kinds in Ayurveda are vata, pitta, and kapha. Vagbhata states that pitta is responsible for the following primary functions: pakti (digestion), ushma (keeping body temperature appropriate), darshan (vision), kshudha (hunger), trushna (thirst), prabha (lustre) to skin, and medha (intellect). Pitta has five subcategories; a pathological increase in Pitta results in yellow skin and eyes, and a decrease in Pitta causes low brightness and a loss of lustre (prabhahani). Bhrajak pitta and Aalochak Ranjak Sadhak Pachak Bhrajak pitta is found in the skin and is responsible for controlling body temperature, preserving natural skin tone, and facilitating the absorption and digestion of external medications. According to contemporary science, the amount of melanin in the skin determines its colour. Skin becomes tanned when melanin levels are too high, yet not enough. albinism. This article delves into a detailed analysis of Bhrajak Pitta and Melanin, with the hope that it may aid students studying Ayurveda in understanding the notion of Bhrajak Pitta from a modern perspective.
