  • Abstract:
  • Ramayana is a “multi voiced entity, that has been retold millions by times, across cultures. This paper focuses on delineating the plurality with which the retellings exist and the need to acknowledge the existence of every Ramayana ever told, contextualizing them in particular time and space. For the purpose, three retellings, specifically, Valmiki Ramayana, Adhyathma Ramayana and Mappila Ramayana have been considered.
