  • Abstract:
  • Diabetes mellitus, the most common endocrine disorder globally, is a bunch of metabolic diseases marked via chronic hyperglycemia because of impaired insulin secretion or function. While conventional treatments are widely used, their associated side effects have led to increased interest in alternative therapies, particularly herbal medicines with anti-hyperglycemic properties. Traditional healthcare systems worldwide have long utilized medicinal plants to manage diabetes, yet many of these botanicals remain scientifically unexplored. Although several plants have demonstrated promising anti-diabetic effects, plant-based remedies have not yet advanced to replace conventional drugs. Continued research focusing on the standardization of dosages and the identification of active compounds is essential for the integration of herbal treatments into mainstream diabetes care. This growing field holds the potential for developing effective, natural alternatives for long-term glycemic control.
