  • Abstract:
  • This study examines the role of continuous learning and digitalization in enhancing employee growth within the auto manufacturing sector, with particular focus on shop floor workers in Chennai. Based on 100 valid responses, the research explores key aspects such as readiness to learn, learning stimuli, and training interventions provided by organizations. Findings show that employees are motivated to acquire new skills and often receive encouragement from peers and family, but organizational systems and policies require further improvement to support sustainable learning. While training initiatives have enabled workers to adapt to new technologies, gaps remain in digital skills and policy alignment. The study underscores the need for stronger organizational support to complement individual motivation, ensuring long-term competitiveness and effective workplace learning in the industry.
