A Study on Life Skills as Predictors of Academic Performance in College Learners

  • Unique Paper ID: 190067
  • PageNo: 387-393
  • Abstract:
  • This study explores the influence of life skills on academic performance among college students through factor analysis. The results identify three key dimensions: Cognitive and Academic Skills, Emotional and Social Skills, and Motivation and Self-Management. Each dimension includes essential skills ranging from critical thinking and time management to resilience and self-motivation which contribute to academic success. Statistical tests (KMO = 0.627; Bartlett’s Test p < 0.001) confirm the adequacy and validity of the factor structure. The findings emphasize the need for educational institutions to adopt integrated skill-building strategies that enhance students’ academic outcomes and emotional resilience.
