  • This article compares Gautama Buddha's moral-economic vision with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's structural-economic pathway. The Buddhist Sangha's framework of collective welfare, ethical livelihood, moderation, and voluntary sharing was the foundation of a non-hierarchical, compassionate economic order. By transforming economic justice into constitutional responsibility through state socialism, public ownership, land redistribution, and enforceable economic rights, Ambedkar addressed the unique reality of caste-driven poverty. The study argues that institutional enforcement and ethical awakening are essential for true economic justice.
