  • Abstract:
  • With a large percentage of its population under the age of 35, India is among the youngest countries in the world. Although this demographic advantage offers an extensive range of benefits, it also brings significant employment and productivity concerns. The discrepancy between industrial demands and formal schooling is a significant worry. By giving young people employable, job-oriented skills, vocational education and skill development have become crucial tools for closing this gap. The goal of government programs like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, talent India, and National Education Policy 2020 reforms is to improve India's talent ecosystem. This Paper explores the value of vocational education, looks at current issues, emphasizes the role of technology, and makes recommendations for ways to improve the efficacy of skill-development initiatives for the empowerment of young people and the advancement of the country.
