abstract = {In the contemporary knowledge-driven economy, organisations are increasingly relying on digital learning platforms to enhance employee competencies and sustain competitive advantage. The Information Technology (IT) sector in Bengaluru, being one of India's most dynamic and skill-intensive industries, places significant emphasis on continuous learning and performance enhancement. This study examines the role of digital learning platforms in improving employee skill development and job performance within IT organisations in Bengaluru, with a primary focus on employees' learning experiences, engagement levels, and perceived performance outcomes. Using a sample of 110 IT employees, the study adopts a quantitative, cross-sectional research design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson's correlation analysis, simple and multiple linear regression, and one-way ANOVA. The findings reveal that digital learning platforms exert a strong positive influence on employee skill development (r = 0.789, R² = 0.624, p < 0.001) and directly on job performance (r = 0.797, R² = 0.636, p < 0.001). Skill development also emerged as a robust predictor of job performance (r = 0.838, R²
= 0.701, p < 0.001), functioning as a partial mediator in the learning-performance chain. The study contributes to theory by contextualising Social Learning Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, and Human Capital Theory within the modern digital learning environment. Practically, it provides actionable insights for HR managers and L&D professionals to design employee-centric, performance-driven digital learning strategies.},
